Quality management is an important task and at the same time a great opportunity. Because it develops specific instructions from external and own requirements. Or in other words: companies obtain rules, responsibilities and processes with which they can optimise their services and products themselves. When it comes to food safety, I can guide your company to the best possible result in all relevant quality characteristics. I will help you to identify requirements and formulate goals. Furthermore, I will support you in identifying sources of error, in assessing production sites and in analysing raw materials and processing steps used. Sustainability

Sustainability has become a buzzword – and even a trend. Companies in food industry are increasingly faced with the challenge of acting sustainably and responsibly. The Supply Chain Act raises these requirements especially the new vision from the EU-Commission. Retailers and manufacturers have to ask themselves how sustainable their products and their entire value chain are. I will support you in ensuring that you meet the expectations of consumers and seal providers. Additionally, I will help you to master the legal requirements of the desired sustainability labels. If you are not sure whether your suppliers can meet your sustainability requirements, I will check for you or work out an appropriate inspection plan with you.

Allergen management

Food intolerances and allergies are on the rise worldwide. Allergens present not only a major risk for consumers, but also for food industry. More than ever, functioning allergen management systems are needed to bring safe products on the market. This is the only way to include all critical areas of the entire supply chain.

JUERGEN SCHLOESSER

For more than 30 years, I have been working in the food industry. As developer, consultant and coach.

I gained a lot of theoretical and some practical knowledge during my studies to become a graduate engineer in food technology. I have gained an incredible amount of practical and further theoretical knowledge since then.

My milestones (many of them also at Dr. Oetker’s):

  • Development of fresh products, frozen cakes and pizzas, powder desserts, cakes and dressings.
  • Technical leadership in quality management, quality assurance and product development at 14 Eastern European production sites.
  • Establishment of a quality management matrix in the international network.
  • Link between product development and international purchasing.
  • Establishment and further development of quality assurance systems for around 20 production plants.
  • Implementation and further development of SAP-QM worldwide with harmonised processes.
  • Founding member of the Round Table for Allergen Management (platform of the German Allergy and Asthma Association) and of the Expert Committee on Allergen Management of the German Food Association.
  • Advisor to expert committees of the European Commission (workshops in Brussels and at the Joint Research Center in Geel).
